On & For
The distribution of artists’ moving image is vast. It’s a plain that stretches from film festivals to university auditoriums, from art galleries to the Internet. The climate of artists’ moving image distribution is changing, and On & For wants to track these changes, discover how peers move with the times, share how to distribute effectively and imagine together how to be progressive in modes of distribution.
Distribution Models hosts a panel-discussion and a distribution DATA SWAP, prepared in collaboration with LIMA, during which various distributors describe their working methods with the aid of practical examples, share data, and open up to the public for questions and debate.
Different voices from the arena of artists’ moving image distribution are represented to allow for a broad-ranging exchange on the future of this constantly and rapidly evolving field. Distribution Models aims to be a meeting ground for artists and distributors to share information and debate on where the future of distribution is leading—and how to keep up with it!
Speakers: Sirah Foighel Brutmann (Messidor, BE), Maria Palacios Cruz (LUX, UK), Rachel Somers Miles (LIMA, NL), Diana Tabakov (Doc Alliance Films, CZ), Niels Van Tomme (ARGOS, BE), Gerald Weber (sixpackfilm, AT).
Moderator: Helena Kritis (Beursschouwburg, BE/ IFFR, NL)
