Christina Stuhlberger (b.1982, Passau) is a filmmaker working in Brussels who obtained a BA and MA in Audiovisual Arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) Ghent. Her films pursue encounters and possibilities of community through a small-scale approach to filmmaking. She is an associated artist at Beursschouwburg (2017 -2021) where she conceived and programs the Tumbleweed screening series focused on Belgium-based visual artists working with film. Her films have been presented in various festivals and exhibitions including IDFA, Visions du Reel, LUFF, CINEMATEK, Greylight Projects, Beursschouwburg, Filmer à tout prix, Poppositions and she recently served as a keynote speaker at the Participatory Film Festival and Conference organized by the University of Ghent (May 2018). She won various prizes including the VAF Wildcard in the Filmlab category in 2014 and the Cedric Willemen Prize in 2017.
